Brendan Yukins

Prevention Educator

Brendan Yukins is a Prevention Educator with Rape Victim Advocates. Prior to joining RVA, Brendan was a Special Education teacher in Chicago Public Schools (Learning Behavioral Specialist I) and volunteer for Connections for Abused Women and their Children at Greenhouse Shelter. His education background includes tutoring for English as a Second Language with Howard Area Community Center, working as a student docent with the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art, and acting and directing in shows throughout the Chicagoland area. He holds a dual degree in Theater and African-American Studies from Northwestern University and is 40-hour trained in both Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. Brendan is passionate about sex-positivity and co-founded Wildcats Burlesque, the largest burlesque festival in the world, which runs annually as part of Northwestern University’s Sex Week.
