Children’s Legal/Medical Advocate
Carolina Sánchez is the Children’s Legal/Medical Advocate at Rape Victim Advocates. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Spanish, and Latin American & Latino Studies from DePaul University. While at DePaul, Carolina studied social justice issues that plague our current society, among them sexual and gender-based violence. She performed in DePaul’s Vagina Monologues in 2012, and fostered dialogue with fellow students, friends, and relatives to raise awareness about sexual and gender-based violence. Carolina recently joined the RVA family and is grateful for the opportunity to provide support and accompaniment to survivors of sexual violence. She comes to RVA with professional experience in working with immigrant youth, family reunification, youth case management, and prior certification as a Residential Child and Youth Care Professional by the National Resource Center for Youth Services. She is also fluent in verbal and written English/Spanish.
